WELCOME TO PVL CARE LTD
“Therapeutic residential care for children and young people.”
At PVL Care, we provide specialist, therapeutic residential care for children and young people across the East Midlands. Our mission is to create warm, stable, and nurturing home environments where young people feel safe, valued and supported to grow — emotionally, socially and educationally.
We understand that every child’s journey is unique. That’s why we tailor our care to each individual, working closely with families, local authorities and professionals to deliver outcomes that truly make a difference. With highly trained staff and a trauma-informed approach, we help young people build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.
Our residential homes are welcoming, secure and designed to meet complex emotional and behavioural needs with compassion and expertise.
About Us
PVL Care was established to meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people who are unable to live in their family home. Our vision is rooted in care, compassion and meaningful support — helping every child in our care feel safe, understood and empowered.
Our team consists of experienced care professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact. We prioritise relationship-based, trauma-informed practice, recognising that children recover and thrive best in environments where they feel secure and truly listened to.
Our Commitment
- Person-centred care that respects individual needs and aspirations
- Safe and predictable homes with nurturing staff
- Positive partnerships with families and professionals
- A culture of continuous learning and reflective practice
Whether supporting a child through emotional difficulties, attachment challenges or behavioural needs, our focus is always on building trust, resilience and pathways to success.
Our Services
At PVL Care, we provide a range of specialist residential care services designed to support children with diverse needs:
Residential Children’s Homes
We deliver 24/7 therapeutic residential care in small, homely settings throughout the East Midlands. Each home is staffed by trained professionals who prioritise stability, routines and positive relationships — essential foundations for children with complex needs.
Trauma-Informed Support
Our care practices recognise the impact of trauma on behaviour and development. We use trauma-informed principles — seeing behaviour as communication and responding with curiosity, empathy and consistency.
Individualised Care Plans
Every young person has a bespoke support plan tailored to their goals, strengths and needs. These plans guide day-to-day support and encourage progress across key areas like emotional wellbeing, social skills, education and independence.
Collaborative Multi-Disciplinary Approach
We work closely with education providers, healthcare professionals and local authorities to ensure an integrated approach to care. This collaboration helps us support young people holistically — emotionally, socially and academically.
Life Skills & Independence Preparation
We help young people develop essential life skills, self-confidence and coping strategies that will support them into adulthood. From daily living skills to educational engagement, our programs are designed to empower young people for the future.
PVL Care Values
At PVL Care, our values guide every decision, interaction and care plan. They reflect our commitment to high-quality, compassionate support:
Safety First
We create environments that are physically and emotionally safe, where children feel secure and protected.
Respect & Dignity
Every young person is treated with respect, dignity and unconditional positive regard.
Trauma-Informed Practice
We understand that behaviour often reflects past experiences. Our staff are trained to respond with empathy, curiosity and support — not judgement.
Individuality & Inclusion
We celebrate individuality and diversity, tailoring care to each child’s background, preferences and strengths.
Growth & Resilience
We focus on helping young people build confidence, emotional regulation skills and resilience — essential tools for life beyond care.
Partnership & Collaboration
We work in partnership with families, placing authorities and other professionals to create a consistent, supportive network around each child.
Staff Wellbeing & Professional Culture
We believe that children thrive when the adults around them are supported, valued and well-trained. Our organisational culture prioritises openness, staff wellbeing and continuous professional development.
